Human Resources Manager (d/f/m)

Since 1919 the AKG Group is a specialist in the field of heat transfer. Our group of companies is financially sound, innovative and expanding. With about 3,300 employees at 14 locations in Europe, America and Asia we develop and produce heat exchangers for a multitude of application areas and branches.

AKG Lagos de Moreno, Mexico has been founded 2020 and started production in 2022. It is situated in Jalisco district and part of the American AKG group, supplying coolers and components mainly to customers in North America.


Job Summary

The HR Manager leads the human resource department for AKG Mexico to support the overall business plan and strategic direction of the company. This position provides strategic leadership as well as oversight for execution and development activities within the plant. This position articulates HR needs and plans to the executive management team and ensures results are tracked and continual improvement achieved.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Leads, coordinates, and develops all HR Management activities:
    • Organizational development
    • HR policies and procedures
    • Recruitment, onboarding, and retention
    • Internal and external HR marketing and communication
    • Employee development
    • Payroll for blue and white collars, including compliance with PTU, IMSS, INFONAVIT, etc.
    • HR compliance, legal affairs
    • Cooperation with union, consultants and other business partners (f.e. insurance, pension, training)
  • Enhances constructive culture by explaining business goals to employees and employees needs to managers
  • Participates in personnel cost planning and controlling for AKG Mexico
  • Promotes a culture of continuous improvements and professional development
  • Manages and develops EHS team, certification and audits, ensures compliance with Mexican EHS regulations
  • Manages reception
  • Manages and develops external services: logistic transportation (shuttle service), catering, and general cleaning
  • Engages actively in personnel development (feedback, interviews, individual development plans, trainings)
  • Organizes social events for the plant
  • Representative of AKG Mexico in global AKG HR team

 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree Business Administration or related field
  • Several years of practical experience in HR management, at least 2 years in a team lead or management function
  • Proved experience in management development, employee relationship
  • Experience in managing external audits, EHS
  • Experience with unions and union contracts
  • International experience gained by active involvement in multinational teamwork or projects, maybe even from experience abroad
  • People management and conflict resolution skills
  • Fluency in Spanish language as well as English
  • Willingness for business trips abroad
