Sales Engineer (m/f)

With about 2.800 employees at 12 locations in Europe, the Americas and Asia we develop and produce heat exchangers for a multitude of application areas and branches.
AKG Japan Ltd. is the Japanese sales and engineering office of the AKG Group in Yokohama-shi, founded in 2008, and very successful in the construction machinery, mining, genset, railway and windpower markets.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Management of OEM application projects, interacting with different disciplines both internally and externally
  • Development of target market, incl. acquisition of projects
  • Responsibility as Key Account Manager and Application Engineer
  • Travel and face-to-face customer interaction and negotiation are required for this position
  • Development of cost effective and innovative technical solutions in co-operation with AKG’s overseas product engineers, product designers and manufacturing engineers
  • Reporting to Sales Engineering Manager

Job Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Several years of work experience, work experience in mechanical engineering field is preferable
  • Good English and Japanese language skills, both for verbal and written communication
  • Organizational skills and practical experience with management of international projects
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills as well as sales skills
  • Willingness to travel
